When the founder of Liftsearch, Vutivi Shivambu, was searching for a solution to provide affordable and convenient rides for himself and others traveling across provinces, all he had was a Facebook group of casual travellers and drivers. Liftsearch was born from the spirit of people sharing their cars with fellow friends traveling in the same direction. In turn this helped drivers to make extra income & save on toll gate fees.
RAIL - Game Console
When I was a kid, my parents couldn't afford to buy the latest gaming consoles—and this is a story shared by many. RAIL is a gaming console for everyone. It brings a minimalist aesthetic, allowing anyone aged 3 and up to use any device to play its unlimited games. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, a streamer, RAIL has you covered with its pay-as-you-use feature. You don't need to pay ridiculous amounts of money to connect with other gamers online and offline.
Parcelin -Parcel delivery
In South Africa, many startups focus on selling products, but they often face the challenge of finding a courier company that will partner with small businesses and understand their unique challenges. This need gave rise to Parcelin, a company born out of the demand for reliable and affordable same-day parcel delivery services in the country. Parcelin's journey began in Limpopo, serving areas like Giyani, Malamulele, and Tzaneen, before expanding to cover all of Gauteng.
Chillers Market-redesign
Africa's #1 podcast, "Podcast and Chill with MacG," embarked on a mission to connect the black community with a platform that leverages the trust of its "chillers" to connect them with products and services offered by other "chillers." The Chillers Market platform is playing a pivotal role in the daily growth of small businesses, having amassed over 10,000 downloads.
